Kyler Rose signs with Colo. Mines

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- It isn't much of a surprise where one of the top scholar-athletes in the state is deciding to play football in college.

Grand Junction's Kyler Rose signed his letter of intent to play for the Orediggers of Colorado School of Mines.

Rose was selected as to the National Football Federations Top Scholar-Athlete Team in Colorado in January, so naturally academics played a major role in his decision.

"As soon as [Mines] started talking to me, they were my top school," Rose told KKCO 11 Sports after signing his letter of intent.
