CMU's Melillo earns 1st RMAC accolade of season

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Mavericks season-opening weekend garnered some recognition around the RMAC for one player.

Mavs' guard Mike Melillo was named the conference's offensive player of the week on Monday.

Melillo started both games for the Mavericks in their opening weekend. He averaged 18.5 points and 10 boards in the first two contests of the season.

The Mavs (1-1) are off until November 23rd.
