Tornado reported in Douglas County but no damage

LARKSPUR, Colo. (AP) -- The National Weather Service says a tornado briefly touched down in southern Douglas County but no damage has been reported.

Forecasters say the tornado was on the ground for less than a minute on Thursday about eight miles east of Larkspur, about 23 miles north of Colorado Springs.

A tornado warning issued for the area has expired.
