Man in hospital after rolling vehicle on Highway 50

A man is in the hospital tonight after getting pinned inside his wrecked car early Saturday morning.

Colorado State Patrol reported to a one car accident on Highway 50 right near mile marker 52 around 5 a.m. Saturday morning. The vehicle was traveling east bound on Highway 50 when the driver lost control, over-corrected and sent the car rolling.

The driver was not ejected from the car, but was unable to get out. Fire crews had to help get him out.

The 22-year old driver from Grand Junction was taken to the hospital with serious but is expected to survive. Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

The accident closed traffic on Highway 50 going westbound for about 20 minutes while the accident was cleared.

The driver was a soldier reporting for duty so maybe you should know the facts about the "idiot" (your language) before you post ANONYMOUS. That person fought for your right to speak so poorly of him. SHAME ON YOU!

0500 maybe bit tired so he over corrected when he drifted a little from being tired is my guess anyway glad it didn't cause anything worse to happen.
