GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) - Cabela's, Best Buy, Old Navy, Kohls, and Sears opened well before dawn for Black Friday, just to name a few.
Thousands of shoppers lined up around the buildings, hoping to get in on some early deals.
One family camped out just outside of Best Buy on 24 1/2 Road in Grand Junction. They said they'd been there since 8:00am Thursday morning, 21 hours before the store opened it's doors one day after Thanksgiving.
Another family brought their camper to Mesa Mall, which they said was stocked with a tent, propane heater, and other essentials as they mapped out their day.
Some people reported others selling blankets and hand-warmers to those waiting in long lines outside, where temperatures dipped to around 10 degrees.
