GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Montrose Indians started off strong on homecoming night, but failed to hold onto an early lead as they lost their first game of the year 21-14 to Pueblo West.
The Indians showed strong defense with a couple sacks and an interception in the first quarter. Drew Casebier connected with Roland McLaren for the first score of the game, but the Cyclones found a way to come back.
Montrose drops to 4-1 on the season, and they will travel to Ponderosa on Oct. 2 for their next game.
