Montrose Girls Get Revenge, Beat Tigers

MONTROSE, Colo. - The Montrose Indians girl's basketball team got handed the Grand Junction girls a loss on Thursday night 60-54 at Montrose High School.

The Indians got revenge on the Tigers after Grand Junction beat Montrose back on January 25th which was the Indians first loss of the season ending the Indians' 14 game win streak.

The win boosts the Indians' record to 4-2 in the Southwestern League and 16-2 overall.

Emily Stark scored 17 points and Kershell Claussen added 11 in the Tigers loss. Grand Junction falls to 2-4 in the SWL and 6-11 overall.

Montrose plays next at Montezuma-Cortez on Friday, February 15. The Tigers next game is against the Durango Demons on the same day.
