GRAND JUNCTION- The Montrose Indians fell in their only appearance in the Bill Fanning classic to the Coronado Cougars 10-0 on Friday.
The Cougars scored 6 runs in the first inning off the Indians, but were held scoreless until the fifth inning when they tacked on four more. Montrose was unable to score in the bottom half of the inning to fall to the five inning 10 run rule.
Montrose(0-2) remains winless on the season. Coronado(1-1) picks up their first win.
