MONTROSE, Colo - The Central Warriors boys basketball team continued to dominate the Southwestern League, picking up a road win at Montrose on Friday.
The Warriors were led by 10 at halftime and pushed that to a 74-60 win behind 18 points from Clay Kame. Central is at Palisade on Saturday.
The top two girls teams in the SWL met Friday night and they showed how evenly matched they are. Central came back from five points down in the fourth quarter to send the game to overtime.
Stacey Kinnett and Amy Kame both fouled out in regulation, helping the Indians withstand the Warriors 54-45 in overtime. Kame scored 20 to lead Central. But the Warriors couldn't slow down Hannah Bowden who led all scores with 24.
