AURORA, Colo. (KKCO) -- The No. 2 Fruita Monument Wildcats beat No. 15 Pomona 6-5 and No. 10 Standley Lake 8-7 on Friday to earn a spot in Saturday morning's 5A State semi-finals.
No. 7 Central lost to Standley Lake 11-7 in the round of 16. Fellow SWL member No. 16 Montrose lost to No. 1 Wheat Ridge by a score of 11-1.
The Wildcats will play No. 3 Rock Canyon on Saturday at 10 a.m.
