GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) -- Grand Junction relied on defense down the stretch to hang on for a 48-39 win over Montrose, giving the Tigers their first SWL title since 2007.

Fawn Brady led GJHS (15-7, 8-1) with 19 points while Paula Lage chipped in with 11 points. Grand Junction led 28-21 at the half, and 39-32 at the end of the third quarter.
