GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- For some critics, Montrose baseball's glory days were supposed to be in the rear-view, at least for a couple of years.
Yet, someone forgot to tell the Indians that losing the SWL's Player of the Year, Nate Robertson, to graduation is supposed to be bad thing.
"We might not have the superstar," commented Montrose shortstop Ben Cruz, "but I feel like this team is tighter together, so we make up for that one guy."
That's a sentiment felt team-wide by the Indians who have made it into the state's final-8 in 2 of the last 3 seasons.
"[The players] believe in the team," said 4th-year coach Landon Wareham. "And anytime you have kids believing in what you're doing, you have a chance at being pretty successful."
