No. 2 Montrose looks to protect the top

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- No. 2 Montrose has blasted onto the scene for the 4A this baseball season, but the Grand Junction Tigers believe they are back on track and ready to retake the lead at the top of the SWL.

Montrose rests at first at the top of the league with a 3-1 record, but GJHS is right on their tail at 3-2. Grand Junction won the SWL last season with a 9-1 record, and Montrose was in the cellar at 8-2.

But the Indians have completely shocked the SWL and 4A with a breakout season. For more on this story, tune into KKCO 11 News at 10 p.m.
