GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- The Grand Junction Tigers took an early lead in Montrose and never looked back. They defeated the Indians 49-13 to win their sixth game in a row.
Quarterback Sean Rubalcaba used his legs to get the Tigers on the board first. The Junior ran for a 35 yard touchdown on Grand Junction's first drive of the game. He exceeded that mark in their next possession with a 40 yard rushing touchdown.
The Tigers improve to 6-1 and 2-0 in league, while the Indians drop to 4-3 and 0-1 in league. Grand Junction will Fruita next Friday, and Montrose will take on Central.
