After Day 1 at the Warrior Classic, Roosevelt holds a two point lead over Rocky Mountain, followed by Central, Palisade and Olathe.
After winning their first SWL title in five years, the Grand Junction Tigers dominated the SWL awards. Sean Rubalcaba was named the SWL offensive player of the year, Casey Walker was named defensive player of the year, and Robbie Owens was given co-coach of the year.
Sean Foster was named the SWL player of the year after he led the Grand Junction Tigers to a 5A playoff appearance. Foster recorded 6 goals and 7 assists.
After qualifying for the 5A district tournaments, Fruita Monument and Central were best represented in the SWL All-Conference awards.
Brian Davidson signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Air Force Academy next year.
