New York (AP) A woman accused of booking clients for the high-priced call-girl ring that brought down former New York governor Eliot Spitzer has pleaded guilty.

Temeka Lewis is the first person to admit guilt in the case.

She worked as a booking agent for the Emperor's Club VIP. She's agreed to a plea deal that obligates her to turn over records and tell investigators and a grand jury about her role in arranging dates between call girls and wealthy clients.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, the 32-year-old Lewis could get a maximum of about 16 months in prison when she's sentenced in August. Her cooperation could mean she'll get less.

The Emperor's Club Investigation began last year when banks flagged suspicious cash transfers to front companies for the ring. Some of the transfers were traced to Spitzer.

Spitzer resigned in march. He has apologized, but hasn't acknowledged visiting prostitutes.
