Shreveport, La. (AP) The Shreveport, Louisiana, area will take A while to dry out after getting soaked with more than ten inches of rain since late Tuesday.

Nearly half of that fell in a single hour.

Officials say the record-setting rains flooded at least 90 homes and closed numerous roads along with the gates at Barksdale Air Force Base.

A water main broke in Shreveport, and it was repaired, but a boil advisory remains in effect until water-quality tests are done.
