UNDATED (AP) - Missouri offensive coordinator Dave Christensen has been hired as Wyoming's football coach.

The school announced Monday night that Christensen has agreed to a five-year contract with a base salary of $180,000 and a total package that could exceed $750,000 per year.

Christensen brought the spread offense to Missouri which helped quarterback Chase Daniel become the Tigers' first Heisman Trophy finalist.

Missouri coach Gary Pinkel says Christensen will remain with the 19th-ranked Tigers through the Big 12 Championship game Saturday against No. 3 Oklahoma and whatever bowl game they play in.

Christensen's offense at Missouri ranks fourth in the nation with a 45-point average and is also fourth in passing and sixth in total offense.
