UNDATED (AP) - The NFL's free-agent signing period opened first thing this morning and the Redskins didn't waste any time reaching into their sizable wallet for the second time in less than 24 hours to sign a big-name player.

Washington and former Tennessee defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth have agreed to a seven-year deal worth approximately $100 million.

The 27-year-old All-Pro lineman is a 6'6", 320-pound run stuffer who also has 24 sacks in seven NFL seasons since the Titans drafted him in the first round out of the University of Tennessee in 2002.

Haynesworth's career-high 8 1/2 sacks last were more than one-third of Washington's team total of 24.

His deal was announced only hours after the Redskins kept DeAngelo Hall from becoming a free agent by agreeing to a six-year, $54 million deal with the veteran cornerback.
