REPORT: Favre Not Coming Back
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress tells the Star Tribune that Brett Favre will not be coming out of retirement.
In a report posted on the newspapers' web site on Tuesday, Childress said Favre did not want to put himself through the grind of another football season.
Favre retired for a second time after playing for the New York Jets last season. He had surgery in may to alleviate a torn biceps tendon.
