Cutler picked off five times in Bears loss

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The San Francisco 49ers intercepted Jay Cutler five times in a 10-6 win over the Chicago Bears to end their four-game losing streak.

Frank Gore ran for 104 yards and scored the game's lone touchdown on a 14-yard run. Niners quarterback Alex Smith won for the first time in eight starts dating back to week 2 of the 2007 season.

The low-scoring tussle went down to the wire.

After 49ers coach Mike Singletary elected to punt against his former team on fourth-and-6 from the Chicago 34 with 2:53 left, Cutler drove the Bears to the San Francisco 12 with 13 seconds left. After an incompletion on first down, Michael Lewis picked off Cutler's next attempt in the end zone as time expired.

Both teams are 4-and-5.
