GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO)-- Scott Mercier witnessed his share of doping programs during his short stint as a professional cyclist.
From 1993-1997, Mercier competed at the professional level but called it quits when he felt his only option to continue riding was to dope.
In a KKCO 11 Sports Special Feature, Mercier, now CMU's cycling director, sits down with KKCO 11 Sports' Sports Director, Phil Stafford to discuss the abundance of banned substances in the world of cycling.
Part two of this special will air on KKCO 11 News at 10pm on Thursday.
