SILVERTON, Ore. (AP) - A 17-year-old wrestler has collapsed and died shortly after winning a match in the northwest Oregon town of Silverton.

KGW-TV reports Charley Engelfried of Dallas, Ore., pinned his opponent Thursday evening, shook his hand and his coach's hand, and then collapsed while walking off the mat. He was taken to Silverton hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Engelfried was a junior at Dallas High School.

Silverton police say they're investigating but don't plan to release any details until later Friday morning. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine a cause of death.
