An escaped inmate is back in jail in Utah this morning.
Juan Carlos Diaz–Arevalo and Danny Gallegos escaped from the Daggett County jail September 23rd by slipping through a broken door, and scaling a fence topped with razor–wire. They were caught six days later, after stealing a retired police officer's car near Green River, Wyoming.
Diaz–Arevalo was captured and jailed, while Gallegos was shot trying to escape police on foot.
Gallegos is listed in critical condition at University Hospital.
Diaz–Arevalo waived extradition to Utah in a Wyoming courtroom on Tuesday and was picked up by Utah Department of Corrections officers.
