Former Palisade football player Jason Popick is behind bars at the Mesa County Jail for failing to appear in court Tuesday morning.
The 20–year–old was supposed to be in court for a probation violation and a motions hearing. When didn't show up Judge Flynn upped his bond on a case that alleges he violated probation to $25,000. Flynn then put a no bond hold on Popick for a separate case in which he is currently serving a one year work release and three years probation. Judge Flynn also issued a warrant for Popick's arrest.
Popick will remain behind bars until his next court appearance.
He has been arrested five times, most recently for stealing an ex-girlfriends underwear and trying to address her.
