Mesa County Search and Rescue: Mock Rescue With New Volunteers

The Mesa County Search and Rescue hit the desert for a mock rescue, but this time the monthly mock mission is special.

Seven new ground team members that just graduated from a seven week course are running the mock mission.

Their training involved tracking, medicine, navigation with a compass and map, search techniques, and the final task was an overnight mission where they are only able to have what they can carry in their back packs.

Search and Rescue has two training classes a year, in the fall and in the spring.
