A man shot by a Grand Junction Police Officer is out of the hospital and behind bars.

Omar Infante–Ortiz is being held at the Mesa County Jail on a no bond warrant. Police say on October 16th Infante–Ortiz and 21 year old Marcos Mendoza fired shots in an apartment complex to scare some people then fled. Police caught up with Infante–Ortiz on North Avenue and shot him after he showed them a gun.

Infante–Ortiz and Mendoza are facing a slew of charges including first degree burglary and felony menacing.

The four Grand Junction Police officers who were placed on administrative leave are all back on the job.

The 21st Judicial District's Critical Incident Team is still investigating the officer involved shooting.
