The Mesa County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in an Orchard Mesa shooting as Timothy D. Pace, 25, of Grand Junction. The Coroner’s Office says Pace’s manner of death is homicide and the cause of death is a gunshot wound.
Police say they were originally called to Pace's home in the 300 block of Acoma drive in Orchard Mesa on a report of a suicide Tuesday night. But after investigating police determined that Pace had been shot by someone else.
Police have arrested 23-year-old Yancy Harris and charged him with manslaughter. Harris is out on bond.
