Witnesses spot a potentially violent situation in Clifton and when Mesa County Deputies show up, the suspects lead them on a chase. And now one man is behind bars as Deputies look for more suspects.

The Mesa County Sheriff's office says it all started in the parking lot of the KFC in Clifton. Witnesses say they saw someone carrying a gun and people carrying baseball bats who may have been threatening people or fighting. When Deputies showed up several suspects fled on foot and in vehicles. Deputies say at least 9 people were involved. A short time later they stopped two vehicles matching the descriptions of cars that were on scene. And at one point they cuffed 4 people but later released them.

While they were questioning witnesses at the Pizza Hut on 32 Road, they say 39 year old Jesus Sanchez Junior pulled up at the gas station right next to them that's when they arrested him on charges of menacing and resisting arrest.
