The Food Bank of the Rockies got a hefty donation from a local framing store after about two weeks of collecting can goods.
The donation came from Frame Depot. The company held its annual framing for food event October 15th through the 31st.
Customers were able to get a dollar off on their framing orders for every can good they brought in, up to half of the total cost.
The Frame Depot says their third year of holding this drive was very successful. "First year got 1,000 cans. So exciting. Next year 4,600, and the third year we wanted more than 5,000 cans and ended up with 8,750 cans of food."
Food Bank of the Rockies picked up the goods November 1, 2007 in a new truck donated by Ford Motor Company and Newman's Own Food Company.
