In just a few weeks, Shea Lehnen would have given birth to a healthy baby girl. But instead she's in the hospital and her child is dead.
Troopers say Logan Lage led them on a high speed chase that ended with him crashing head on into Lehnen's SUV.
A pregnant Lehnen and her one year old son were rushed to the hospital. Her young son only suffered minor injuries but there was nothing doctors could do for her unborn baby.
Lehnen's father told 11 News Wednesday today that they are deeply saddened by what happened and were really looking forward to having a new baby girl in the family.
Lage, who's still in the hospital with serious injuries, could be charged with vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment.
