Bond is set for a Grand Junction man accused of child abuse resulting in death. Logan Lage went before a judge Sunday morning where he was ordered to be held on a $500,000 bond.
Officials say Lage led them on a high speed chase last Monday and then crashed head on into 26–year–old Shea Lehnen. Lehnen was 8 1/2 months pregnant and the baby girl she was carrying subsequently died.
The DA's Office is awaiting the coroner's report on the child's death.
If the baby was born alive, Lage could face additional charges
including vehicular homicide.
He'll back in court later this week.
