The National Park Service continues to investigate a mysterious crash, after a car was found off an embankment Sunday afternoon.

Officials say they found the car about a mile inside the east entrance with a 21 year old male alive inside. They do not know when the accident occurred.

Rangers believe the man was driving on Rim Rock Drive when he went off the road, falling about 180 feet.

The man was taken to St. Mary's hospital and has since been released.

Authorities are unsure of the extent of his injuries, and say they are still investigating what may have caused the crash.
