It's official; Diann Rice edged out Gary Miller for the open seat on the District 51 School Board.
On Monday, elections workers finished verifying and counting the ballots from the November 6 election.
Official results show Rice beat Miller by 183 votes.
Elections officials had deemed the race too close call after election day because about 520 ballots were either without signatures or illegible. Those voters had until Wednesday to come forward and verify their ballots and 255 people did just that.
Rice will now sit on the board for a four year term.
