Rescue crews battled below freezing temperatures to pull four people out of the Colorado River.
The Grand Junction Fire Department and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office responded just after noon on Tuesday when a passerby called 911 to report a capsized boat in the Walker State Wildlife Area.
Three of the four people in the boat were able to make it to shore but the fourth person had to be rescued by boat and taken to St. Mary's Hospital.
Investigators have not released the names or conditions of the people pulled from the river.
11 News is still gathering information but witnesses say the four people were duck hunting when their boat flipped.
