It started with a tip called into police and now seven people are facing drug charges. Investigators say two men were dealing meth from a Grand Junction hotel.

Authorities say they found 32 year–old Anthony Jiminez and 28 year–old Cyrus Salimi staying at the Mesa Inn.

Investigators got a search warrant and say they found over 2.65 pounds of meth in their room Wednesday.

The district attorney's office says the task force went a step further and got permission to use one of the suspected dealer's phones.

Five more people were taken into custody: Kelly Lemke, 43, Christopher Mansheim, 34, Leeora Medina, 38, Sonia Mullins, 47, Joseph Rivera, 49. According to an arrest affidavit, they were attempting to buy meth.

All seven were booked into the mesa county jail on drug charges.

Jiminez and Salimi are from California but the D.A's office says they won't be extradited. The two will be prosecuted in Mesa County.
