Authorities Look For Help To Find Missing Snowboarders

Creede, Colo. (AP) _ The Wolf Creek Ski Patrol and at least one
helicopter have resumed the search for two snowboarders missing for
nearly a week in the southwest Colorado mountains.

Twenty-seven-year-olds Michael George and Kyle Kerschen of
Albuquerque were reported missing January 5th near the Wolf Creek
Ski area -- 170 miles southwest of Denver, or 47 miles east of
Durango.

Their car was found in the ski area's parking lot. Mineral County Sheriff Fred Hosselkus is asking anyone who may have seen the men before they disappeared to contact authorities.

Sheriff's Spokeswoman Sandy Kroll says missing-person fliers are
being distributed in surrounding communities, and skiers and others
are being asked to look for any sign of them.

Kroll said Hosselkus has not said how long the search would
continue.
