Five Colorado-Based Soldiers Die in Iraq

Fort Carson, Colo. (AP) The military says five soldiers from Fort Carson were killed when their convoy hit an improvised bomb in Iraq.

The military says they were ambushed Monday in Mosul.

They were identified as Sergeant James E. Craig, Staff Sergeant Gary W. Jeffries, Specialist Evan A. Marshall, Private First Class Brandon A. Meyer and Private Joshua A. R. Young.

The soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 8th Infantry
Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Fort Carson spokeswoman Karen Linne says the deaths bring the total number of Fort Carson soldiers killed in Iraq to 232.

    Bring our troops home now before we lose more soldiers. We can not afford this war anyway. Ron Paul warned Congess not to go and now he is fighting Washington to bring them home.
