GJ Man Arrested for Two Armed Robberies

The armed robber police say is responsible for holding up both Blockbuster and Johny's Beer and Liquor with a semi-automatic handgun has been arrested.

Surveillance video from the robbery at Johny's, back in November helped nab 45 year old, James Joseph Jones of Grand Junction, after Utah State Patrol came across his car in Murray, Utah.

Jones is charged with two counts of Aggravated Robbery, three counts of Felony Menacing and two counts of Theft less than $1,000. Jones is awaiting extradition to Colorado from Utah.

    Jim worked for me for me a few years.I got to know him vary well i got to meet his kids from calif. and his brothers from TX. I contacted him in December of 2007 we talked for a long time. I was there when he got hurt on the job, i was also there when Jannette broke his heart. Jim was a stand up guy until the company he worked for had pulled the rug out from under him. I guess not all of us land on are feet. May god be with you Jim buddy.

    I actually dated James Jones for 12 Years, he recently had news of his poor health which is causing him to die. He had called me and stated that he was desperate for money for medications to prolong his life.
