A winter storm is hitting the Grand Valley affecting drivers on roadways.
Interstate 70 west of Fruita spent most of the day snow-packed causing drivers to go off the road, getting stuck in the snow. It also caused numerous accidents, but none with injuries.
Colorado State Patrol says the best way to travel in these conditions is slowly and defensively.
The National Weather service says the Grand Valley could see anywhere from 2-8 inches of snow with this storm. The snow should move out of the area by Tuesday afternoon.
