Crash on I-70B Sends Two to Hospital; Ties Up Traffic

A crash on I-70B sends two people to the hospital and ties up traffic.

According to Colorado State Patrol, two motorcyclists crashed on I-70B east of 30 Road just before 6:00 Wednesday evening.

Officials say the cause of the crash is still under investigation but they believe the man and woman were traveling west bound together.

Troopers say neither victim was wearing a helmet and both were rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital with what don’t appear to be life threatening injuries.

Officials say the male victim was driving with a revoked license and the motorcycle he was riding had fictitious plates on it.

The accident reduced busy I-70B to one lane in both directions for about 45 minutes.

The crash remains under investigation.
