Denver (AP) Two people have been treated for minor injuries after a regional transportation district bus crashed into a Denver home.

The accident happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday, when police say the driver of the westbound bus veered to miss a southbound car but instead, hit it, before veering again and hitting the home.

RTD spokesman Scott Reed says the driver told dispatch that the car cut him off.

No one was in the residence at the time. The driver and a passenger on the bus were hurt, and were taken to a nearby hospital.

Homeowner Robert Butcher says he's spent the last two years renovating his kitchen, which was heavily damaged in the crash.

Authorities say the house is uninhabitable, so Butcher will have to live elsewhere until repairs are made.
