New York (AP) City hall will apparently do.
New York mayor Michael Bloomberg says he is not running for president.
That's what Bloomberg is saying in a New York Times op-ed piece. Bloomberg says he has listened carefully to those who encouraged him to make a bid for the White House but that he will not be a candidate for president.
Bloomberg, an independent, has played coy about his presidential ambitions for two years. He writes in the piece, posted on the times' web site, that he might lend his support to a candidate who, in his words, takes an independent, nonpartisan approach.
