A young man is fighting against cancer and needs your help.
Jordan Jones is an 8th grade student at West Middle School. He was diagnosed with stage four cancer in October 2007.
Jordan has gone through numerous surgeries including chemo therapy. Those that know Jordan believe he and his family are strong even in this hard time.
Family friend Vicky Thurlow says, "He has an attitude that is just, it's incredible and he is a fighter and he stays positive. He has an array of friends and coaches and teahers and family that are just a great support to him."
Thurlow says Jordan just went through another surgery just 10 days ago to remove more tumors.
But now the family wants to raise awareness and ask for your help. A dance will take place to raise awareness and money for the local middle school student.
"Dancing for Jordan" will take place at Lincoln Park Barn tomorrow night from 6-11p.m. Tickets to the event are $25. Tickets can be purchased at B&H Sports, Major Mortgage, North Avenue Dry Cleaners & Carwash, West Middle School, Fruita 8-9 School, or at the door.
If you can't make the dance you can still make a donation at Timberline Bank c/o Jordan Jones.
