Student Penny-Protesters Pardoned

Readington Township, N.J. (AP) Twenty-nine New Jersey middle school students are getting a pardon after being punished with detentions for using pennies to pay for their $2 lunches.

The students were protesting a shorter lunch period. The school Superintendent has rescinded the detentions following complaints from parents.
