The FBI has questioned a man in Los Angeles Thursday night in the bombing investigation that happened in New York’s Times Square Thursday.
Nine or ten letters showed up at Democrats' offices on Capitol Hill, after the bombing. The letters included a picture of a man standing in front of the Army recruiting office labeled, "Happy New Year... We did it."
The FBI traced those letters to Los Angeles and questioned the man who sent them. But now they say it may be a huge, unfortunate coincidence and may not be connected.
Surveillance video at Times Square shows a man on a bike leaving the scene after the explosion.
The investigation also led authorities to the Canadian border where last month four men who were questioned left behind a backpack with pictures of New York. One of the pictures was of the recruiting office that was bombed.
Investigators are also looking into whether the explosion is connected to similar incidents last fall at the Mexican consulate, and at the British consulate three years ago.
