The Senate passed legislation that gives the Consumer Products Safety Commission more authority to monitor toys, and other children's items made overseas.
The Senate Bill will also call for a public database of all consumer complaints about toys.
Congress makes this move in response to the record number of toy-recalls in recent months of products made overseas.
The legislation passed the Senate with a vote of 79– to –13.
