The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says it has seen floods of people coming in to pick up things that were stolen from their cars.

About two weeks ago, deputies pulled over a car for an expired license plate. Inside the car they found a lot of stolen goods.

Officials say two men and two juveniles went on a stealing spree across the county.

The sheriff's office says the traffic stop has helped them solve more than 60 theft cases.

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is trying to return as much stolen property as they can before they book the rest into evidence. At that point the sheriff's office will turn the case over to the District Attorney's Office who will decide what charges the four will face.
the sheriff's office hopes to hand the case over within the next week and a half...
