A local group of volunteers is hoping you'll help control the stray cat population.
A single cat and all of her offspring can create almost 40,000 cats in just 4 years. Less than ten years ago, there were few options for dealing with stray cats.
Now the volunteers at Community Cat Care are capturing the felines, then spaying or neutering them to keep the cat population down. The group fields about 50 calls a week and spay or neuter over five hundred cats per year.
