Making a quilt is no easy task, but it can last a lifetime and create special memories for families.

Quilt makers from around the western slope displayed their best works at Mesa Mall Saturday afternoon. Quilts on display ranged from pattern designs to real life images.

Sunset Slope Quilters is a quilt guild that meets to learn and share their quilts. The group has been meeting the second wednesday of every month since 1986. The meetings are from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church located at 3940 27 1/2 Rd.

Quilters of all experience levels are allowed to join.
